I never liked those vague posters hanging on the walls of my high school counseling office. I don’t disagree with the message, and maybe they’re even helpful to some people… But if you’re waiting in a chair in the school counseling office, odds are you are tense. This is not the moment to be told “you can do anything!” because if that were the case, you wouldn’t have been aprehended by your science teacher for what you did.
So why not at least lighten the mood a little? How about something like this:
It’s just a thought.
